When we started our first business back in 1989, the internet didn't exist. And, all the marketing was done the traditional way. So, we've experienced every stage of the internet craze and evolved with the never ending growth of online marketing. However, when we created our first website in '95, search engines like Google didn't exist nor did Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

Over the last decade, as millions of websites were popping up, Google created a system that would index websites, like books in a library, so that websites could be found easily in the search engines. And, that's when Search Engine Optimization(SEO) became the big “BUZZ.” 

At first, we didn't pay much attention to SEO because we felt that we didn't need it. Like everybody else, we relied on referrals and traditional marketing to grow our business. Well, were we ever wrong!

About 4 years ago, due to the recession, business was slowing down and many of our big clients were just not spending. So, we had to react fast to save our business. As an initial step, we started by taking  a closer look at Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Like most websites today, we weren't even ranking in the first 10 pages of the search engines. Nobody could find us online.

We researched, learnt and discovered simple strategies that we implemented as a trial. Within 90 days, we were ranking in the top 10 positions of the search engines. We couldn't believe the results!

Traffic started to flow and visitors were converting into leads and sales. Within that year alone, our business had doubled in sales. Now that's pretty good for a website that didn't rank at all! 

Excited by our results, we've been sharing our SEO strategies with our clients ever since. And, I'm pleased to say that they've been experiencing the same results.

Although the optimization/ algorithm dance is a game of cat and mouse, the top 10 position rankings cannot be guaranteed. But, an optimized website with the right branding and message is bound to succeed online.
